I think the fish (and I) have turned a corner.

Well, we lost three more of the total 7 fish that were living in our tank–all three “zippys”. We’ve lost 6 fish so far. There will be no more new fish in this aquarium until all spots are gone and the remaining fish have managed not to die for at least two weeks.

BUT…it’s a little too soon to say, but Goldie and Stripey (the original fish) are looking better, and LIghtening, whom I’d long since given up as a goner and who we’ve tried several times to scoop out of the water, thinking he was dead, only to have him up and scoot away, is swimming around. I’m not sure I’d bet on him, but I’m starting to have hope.

And…still a little soon to say here too, but the kids are sleeping. I have babysitting planned through the rest of the week. I’ve worked every day this week so far. My writing group helped me take the latest chapter they’ve seen from draggy and crappy to something I think I’m proud of. I got through today with no babysitting pretty well. We even had a decent dinner. I think things might just be on the upswing.

Of course, the place is a pit and my mother-in-law is coming for a visit Thursday…but I’m ignoring that right now. I could clean, or I could revise–I’m going to revise.
