An Easter Tragedy

It’s hard to see–look at the next picture below–but Lily’s chocolate Easter bunny was left in a stream of spring sunshine and imploded. It’s face melted clear away. And it’s still only 19 degrees here. Farenheit, in case you had any doubt.

Her suggestion was to write the Easter bunny a letter and ask him not to leave it in the sun next year, although the bunny really can’t be blamed, since it was quite a bit later in the afternoon, after the eggs had been hunted and counted and baskets discovered.

Although they ate the candy in the eggs, it does not seem to have occurred to anyone to eat the bunnies!
