Wyatt is in that must pull up, must stand, must get tooth or something phase.
Lily is in the “lie down with me” phase.
They don’t sleep, or not for long.
I had to take a break from writing this post to put Lily back to bed.
If it were just one or the other, we could tag team, retrain, something…
but it is both, and we are just barely treading water.
And again. And again.
In fact, she’s sitting in my lap now, kind of zoning. I don’t know what to do with her. She’s sick, too–feverish, sick tummy–which means I’m willing to cut her some slack, but cut this girl some slack and she’ll make a whole pant suit. On the other hand, I can’t exactly tie her into the bed. Unless, of course, I want to lay down with her.
And what makes it all really beautiful is that when she finally does fall asleep, Wy will inevitably wake up.

Oh, I feel your pain! I think the odds of getting a full night sleep decreased to close to zero when we had #3. The tag-teaming is just SO UNFAIR.
At some point, you’ll be so tired that you’ll just sleep through their crying/screams and that will probably help them learn to sleep better. It’s kind of what happened over here. They were really doing a number on us. Really.
